By accessing or using EmByte ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and paying customers.

2. Description of Service

EmByte provides AI-powered tools for embedded software development, including MISRA compliance checking, code analysis, debugging assistance, and related workflows. The Service is provided "as is" and is continually evolving.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable regulations.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your source code and data. EmByte does not claim ownership of any code you analyze, modify, or create using the Service. The EmByte platform, including its software, design, and documentation, is our intellectual property.

5. AI-Generated Output

EmByte provides AI-generated suggestions, explanations, and code modifications. These outputs are provided as assistance and should be reviewed by qualified engineers before use in production or safety-critical systems. EmByte does not guarantee the accuracy or safety of AI-generated output. You are responsible for all code that ships in your products.

6. Payment & Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EmByte shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
